Please read all information about my work before placing an order!

General Information

-It can take me anywhere from 3 weeks to 3 months or more to create a tail depending on the free-time I have to work, the amount of pre-existing commissions already in progress and the complexity of the requested tail. Generally I will finish a simple tail within 4-6 weeks. Please contact me if you need your tail by a specific date and I will do my absolute best to work with you on that.

-I work Mon-Fri, Sat and Sun are my days off. While I do usually respond to emails on the weekends, I don't typically work on Sat-Sun because this is my job and as with all jobs people need time off. ^-^ I also don't work on any observed holidays (Christmas, Easter, etc).

-I use only 100% acrylic yarn for making my tails. No real fur or wool is ever used in my work.

-Tails come from a clean, smoke-free home and are each one of a kind and handmade with quality and care.

-All tails will have a metal keyring at the top that is about 1 ½ inches in width. If you would like, a belt-clip (carabiner) can be purchased for an additional fee to your order.

-Tails are constructed using a braided yarn “core” and is primarily 1 ½-2" inches in width. If a wider “core” is desired for a thicker tail effect, please contact me for extra pricing.

-I use several different good-quality name brands of yarn. No stiff yarn is used in my tails.

-I use a hair flat-iron to straighten each bit of fur, thus leaving you with a silky, shiny and soft tail that moves with you freely.

-Please note that ALL tail measurements are from the TIP of the tail to the metal ring at the TOP of the base. For example, if a 20" tail is desired then from the tip of the tail to the metal ring at the top will all be 20" long. Please take this into consideration when deciding on a length for your new tail!

Shipping Information

-I am a US based artist, so please be aware that if you live outside of the USA your order might take longer depending on where you live.

-All tails are neatly wrapped inside of tissue paper to prevent the fur from getting matted during shipping. Your tail(s) will be mailed off inside of a proper fitting bubble envelope mailer package.

-Please allow me time to create your new tail. Once I am finished I will mail it out as soon as possible. Your tail should arrive depending on where you live (in the US) within 5-10 business days. If you are outside of the US please give your tail additional time to arrive. Non-US residents can expect their new tail(s) to arrive anywhere between 14-20+ days unless faster shipping is requested. Faster shipping will cost extra on any order.

-I do ship worldwide at extra cost.

-Please contact me for a shipping quote as it varies from the size of the tail you order. Usually shipping is no more than $4-$9.50 at absolute most for US residents, and anywhere from $9.50 to $25 for non-US members.

-I will be glad to combine shipping if multiple tails are ordered. There is no limit on how many tails you order so as long as you are willing to allow me time to create them.

-I use USPS (United States Postal Service) to mail out all of my tails. All shipping is standard unless requested by the buyer. Anything above standard shipping will cost extra.

-I do offer tracking and insurance on your package(s) at additional cost.

Payment Information

-I only accept US cash, money orders and Paypal. No personal checks or trades.

-Payment is required FIRST before I begin with your commission. If you would like, you can put half down upon starting and pay the rest once it is half finished. But I would prefer full payment up front, as I have been scammed before for my being too trustworthy of others. The down payment is non-refundable if you back out on the tail once it has been completed and the finished taill will be sold off regardless of design.

-No refunds, returns or exchanges. Please commission me on your own accord after thoroughly looking through my gallery and seeing the examples of my work. I strive to ensure the satisfaction of my clients and will do my absolute best to ensure a positive turnout, this being the reason why I take my time on my tail creating and not rushing through them hastily. ^-^

-Please note that I am not responsible for the tails once they leave my house and are handed to the post office for mailing. I have never had a problem in mailing things to people before without insurance or tracking numbers, but if you desire a tracking number or insurance then I ask that you please pay a small fee so I can put that on your package for you. Thank you!

-Lastly, please ensure that if you mail out cash or a money order that you wrap it inside of some paper or place it inside of a card so that the postal workers do not see and potentially steal it. I advise this to anyone who sends money through the mail, just a friendly word of caution.

Care, Handling and Storage

-As a general rule of care when using one of my custom tails, I advise that you gently give your tail a light brushing before and after each use to keep its natural beauty. It’s best to use a pet brush (also known as a slicker brush) and gently brush along the ends of the tail as you slowly and gently work your way downward in the direction of the fur. Although this is not required for using my tails, it’s just recommend you do this to maintain their lovely “bounce.”

-If your tails become dirty, muddy, or dusty for any reason I recommend you taking a small wash cloth and dampening it with warm water and then gently dabbing at the soiled areas gently. Please do not scrub or use any products like shampoo or soap on them as colors may run or fade. If your tail has become wet and muddy, please wait for the mud to dry and harden and then take your pet brush and gently brush out the clumps of dirt. I do not recommend that you wash these in the washing machine or soak them in water.

-As with anything, you should be gentle with your tail. They are not intended to be roughly tugged on or brusquely played with like toys. They must be handled with care as they are considered wearable pieces of art, but will hold up through some light play-action if that does happen so please don’t be in fear that it will fall apart after something moderate such as that.

-Please expect some light shedding with your tails as this is entirely normal when brushing out your tail(s) or stroking them.

-Storing your tails: I strongly advise that you hang them up when not in use or lay them out flat, this will prevent them from getting matted or wavy. I personally hang mine up in my closet, but they will do just fine being laid out flat with occasional brushing.

-Spraying things like perfume, hairspray, temporary dyes, and gels may harm or completely damage your tail so it is not recommended that you use any products on your tail. If you do, please attempt it at your own risk!

-If your tail should for any reason become wavy after being stored away or during mailing, simply brush it out gently or use a hair flat-iron on a low to medium setting and straighten out the desired fur sections and brush it out afterwards.

-Please note that if you have selected a wire tail for your order that it is designed for gentle posing. Please be aware that if you pose and re-pose your tail over and over again or treat it roughly that it may break, so it is advised that you take good, gentle care of your wire tail.

Allergy Warnings

-Please note that while I do have a dog, I strive my very best to ensure he stays away from my yarn and work products. If you have allergies to dogs I would advise against ordering a tail from me simply for the sake of your health as I do not wish for anyone to have allergy or become sick from my having a dog.

-If you are allergic to metal or aluminum I also advise against placing an order for one of my tails as I use metal keyrings at the base of my tails for you to attach to yourself for use. I also offer colored aluminum belt-clips (known as a carabiner) as well.

-As stated, all of my tails are made using only 100% acrylic yarn. But if you have major sensitivities to most fabrics it may not be suitable for you to wear a tail from my shop. Just a friendly word of caution.

-My tails are made from a smoke-free home. I keep my workspace clean and dust-free.
